Nigeria-EU Business Forum 2026
The Nigeria–EU Business Forum 2026 will serve as a high-level platform to advance economic cooperation between Nigeria and the European Union, with a clear focus on Global Gateway priorities. The Forum will highlight investment opportunities across key sectors, including digital infrastructure, renewable energy, health systems, sustainable transport, and agricultural value chains, alongside reforms to strengthen the business and investment climate.
Taking place in Lagos, the Forum will convene senior policymakers, development finance institutions, and private sector leaders to facilitate dialogue, drive investment, and strengthen market linkages. It will showcase Team Europe financial instruments and support increased private sector participation in Nigeria’s priority sectors. The Forum will combine high-level dialogue with technical sessions, investment showcases, and structured business-to-business and business-to-government engagement.
The Forum builds on the momentum of the Nigeria–EU Ministerial Dialogue of 23 March, which marked a renewed phase of engagement and underscored a shared commitment to deeper political and economic cooperation. A strong emphasis will be placed on green and sustainable investment as a foundation for long-term partnership.
Discussions will also help shape the future trajectory of Nigeria–EU trade and investment relations, reflecting a growing mutual commitment to strengthened economic ties.
High-level participation from the European Commission and the European Investment Bank will reinforce the EU’s commitment to scaling investment and expanding strategic partnerships in Nigeria.
